I enjoy them, so you probably will too!
I still haven't made it to a Korean Church here yet, and now I'm working weekends again, so it might be a little while. Even worse than that- I'm out of 김치 again, so a kimchee run is in order. They even sell packaged 번대기, silkworm larvae, but I will not be frequenting that section. Yes I am glad that I was able to acquire a taste for 김치, and I will be at least equally grateful to not acquire a taste for beondaegi. Gastronomically, I'm just not that open-minded.
The Korean grammer is coming along slower than I would like. I've reached that point, linguistically, where, a little knowledge is a dangerous think...er ...I mean thing! Kangmi speaks about focus on her site, and I am starting to understand what she refers to. Focus is required to stay on track, to avoid the shotgun approach. What good is it to memorize 2000 Korean words, and then not be able to say a single word when needed, because of a lack of verbal practice. One day at a time, progress is being made. If you want to learn the Korean alphabet quickly, get some keyboard labels for your computer keyboard. You can get these labels in KTown, Toronto at Computopia. Phone 416-532-8583. South side of Bloor, west of Bathurst....$5.
Last night the temperature dropped below freezing for the first time in two nights. There is still plenty of snow, but in the last 3 days and nights alot of it diminished. It really was a nice break!
Also added to the sidebar links here at Korea-bound, is the Canadian meteorlogical webpage- Theweatheroffice.
