Arirang Market

Arirang Market

Here is the Arirang Shikbum in North London. It's under new ownership and they've made some changes. For example, it no longer sells bibap. They're going to keep whatever Korean stuff they stock now, but it'll sell more Canadian stuff...it won't be quite as Korean as it has been. The Korean selection is more limited now.

They still sell kimchi, produced in Toronto. It's a little bit weak, but it still is kimchi!

I've been reading a little bit about mugwort. It's seems like it's good for everyone except pregnant women. So mummy-tummies...ixnay on the ugwortmay!

I seem to have absorbed the days of the week and names of the month from 'Korean Phrasebook'. So far so good, I think I have enough confidence to tackle learning numbers.

We finally got a couple of ok rains in the last two days. Very welcome as the last month was pretty much a drought. Apparently, even with good steady rain for the rest of the season, more than 50% of the soybeans are lost.

July is flying by, hope you're all having a good one.
